Yad/Torah Pointer
A Torah pointer is called a “yad” In Hebrew, meaning “hand”. This special piece of Judaica is used when reading the Torah, in order to follow the words. One cannot follow along with their finger because the ink and parchment used are very delicate and can easily be smudged.
