Shabbat

From sunset on Friday evening until there are at least three stars are in the sky on Saturday night is the Jewish Sabbath. On this day of rest, people refrain from using electricity, driving, and more or less take a break from everything. The day is spent with family and friends, as well as attending Shabbat prayers in synagogue. Shabbat is full of rituals and tradition, starting with lighting candles to bring in the day (in Judaism, a new day actually starts at sunset), saying a blessing over wine and bread before eating, and so much more throughout the 25 hours that are considered Shabbat.
